How we compare

WHICHDEALS is an independent comparison portal that supports consumers in their purchasing decisions. Our twenty-strong editorial team researches and compares products of all kinds to relieve readers of this work. Instead of spending a lot of time searching for products and information, on WHICHDEALS they find a product overview with prices and important features so that they only have to decide on a suitable offer.our range of comparisons already covers numerous product groups that consumers search for and order online: from electronics, household and garden to furniture and home accessories. However, the market in Germany has much more to offer. Our editors are therefore constantly working on new product categories.

How we proceed

We present the comparison results in the form of product rankings with up to ten offers, which include product images, the current price, the amount of the discount if applicable and the most important features of the respective products. For example, information on the material, size, design and technical features such as battery capacity, motor power and screen resolution are listed.

Algorithmic analysis

Our rankings are created from the algorithmic analysis of millions of products. The analysis is carried out specifically for the respective search query and also includes manufacturer information, prices and sales rankings. This results in an overall score for each product in the comparison.

Individual rankings

The overall score determines which products make it into the respective ranking and where they are listed. Each ranking is created individually for the corresponding search query and is intended to serve as a guide for the purchase decision.

Short-term changes

As our rankings are compiled individually, the products listed and their overall scores may change at short notice. Prices and availability of items also have an impact on the ranking.

Why do we not test the products ourselves?

Our aim is to present consumers with the widest possible range of product comparisons. Product tests require a lot of time and manpower. For economic reasons, it is therefore not possible for us to create the product categories as tests. By making comparisons, we can provide consumers with significantly more product information.

How we finance ourselves

We make our service available to you free of charge. You have free access to all categories and comparison lists. Of course, we ourselves incur costs in our work. We cover these with income from affiliate marketing. This is a form of online advertising based on referral commissions and recommendations. As a comparison portal, we work with many trustworthy online shops such as Amazon and Otto. As part of a referral partnership, the online retailers provide us with affiliate links. These enable online retailers to track which partner platform the customer used to reach their shop. Buyers do not incur any additional costs with this form of marketing and we can provide our service free of charge.

Labelling of advertising placements

Commissions or profits have no influence on the positioning of the articles. However, WHICHDEALS also offers advertising space for partners. For example, an offer can be listed at the top of the ranking regardless of its total score. If WHICHDEALS is remunerated in this way, we clearly indicate that the product is not part of the ranking.
